Why the practice began

Module Workbase grew from a recurring problem in international moves: reliable facts existed, but they lived on separate consular, municipal, insurance and employer pages. People knew many of the tasks and still struggled to place them in a safe order.

We founded the practice in Frankfurt am Main to give applicants a calm working session between broad online research and regulated professional advice. Our role is to expose dependencies, translate administrative language into concrete next actions, and keep official sources attached to the recommendation.

The people behind your plan

Mara Feld, lead relocation adviser, has supported international hires and accompanying families through German arrivals since 2016. Her work concentrates on pre-arrival planning, municipal registration and household sequencing. She delivers consultations in English and works with a referral network for immigration law, tax and certified translation matters.

Jonas Okafor, research and client coordinator, maintains city-specific source notes, checks authority-page changes and prepares follow-up roadmaps. His experience in university international offices informs our guidance for researchers, graduates and mixed academic-employment moves.

How we make recommendations

We begin with the facts that change the route: nationality, intended activity, household, destination and date. Then we separate three categories.

1. Confirmed requirements point back to a current official source.
2. Common administrative practice is labelled as such because offices and individual cases can differ.
3. Personal decisions—such as how much housing flexibility to keep—are discussed as trade-offs, not rules.

We will not claim influence over an appointment calendar or guarantee an authority’s decision. We will tell you when a question has crossed into immigration law, tax, employment law or another regulated field.

Values visible in the work

Sequence before volume. A shorter list in the right order is more useful than fifty disconnected tasks.

Limits stated early. If the service cannot answer a question responsibly, you should know before paying for unnecessary work.

Households, not just applicants. School terms, partner work rights, care responsibilities and staggered arrivals belong in the plan.

Sources you can revisit. German procedures change. A recommendation should help you check the latest position rather than ask you to trust an old screenshot.
